Providing technical assistance for local school teachers and administrators is an important component of our prevention efforts in the community. By equipping these key stakeholders with best practices to respond to a variety of student needs, we are able to expand the resources available for youth in our community and ensure that they remain healthy and safe.
New staff member Deborah McCoy joined Compass Mark in January and is already making a significant impact on these efforts. Deborah has over 35 years of experience in the fields of education and training. Her career has focused on the Student Assistance Program (SAP), bullying, cyberbullying, sexual harassment, threat assessment and school climate and safety.
Prior to forming her education consulting businesses, Educational Development Services, LLC, Deborah worked for the PA Department of Education in the Division of Safe & Drug-Free Schools. In this role she served as a Regional Coordinator, providing guidance and assistance to Student Assistance Programs in the eastern part of Pennsylvania.
Compass Mark is excited to welcome Deborah to the team. If you represent a school district seeking Student Assistance Program training or other technical assistance, please contact Deb at (717) 299-2831 x 230 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
