Offered by the GateHouse, this course will offer each participate skills to assess a situation and assist with formulating an appropriate response. Tools used will include effective communication and empathy. This course will also discuss appropriate responses to crisis situations to insure safety for the client, staff, and facility. Course Objectives:
- To develop skills in assessing escalated situations with clients, formulating an appropriate response to those escalated situations utilizing effective communication and empathy.
- To develop skills in assessing a crisis situation with a client and formulating an appropriate response to crisis situations that insures the safety for the client, staff, and facility.
