This course addresses the requirements for drug and alcohol screening and assessment of adults in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The required components of each tool, emergent care issues, screening options, level of case management determination, interviewing techniques and review of the DSM-VR Criteria for Substance Use Disorders will be covered. Course Focus:

  • Introduce the concepts of screening and assessment
  • Differentiate between the two
  • Define emergent care services
  • Introduce and review DDAP screening and assessment tools
  • Skills review

Fee $20, and is waived for employees of SCA-contracted agencies located within Lancaster County. 6 credit hours (PCB included, NASW available). Breakfast and registration at 8:30am; lunch on your own.

  • Course Search
  • Search by Course Title
  • Choose “Screening & Assessment”
