This Lunch & Learn session will explore the drivers of burnout, stages in the stress curve, and individual and organizational practices and resources to prevent and address burnout, and build a resilient spirit. Participants will be able to:
- Recognize the drivers and warning signs of burnout
- List at least three burnout prevention strategies
- Define the components of a resilient spirit
Presenter: Mary Dornan, NBC-HWC, Health Promotion Specialist, has worked in the field of public health for the past 20 years. She is responsible for developing, implementing, andevaluating programs for the community, such as an Amish and Latino community health worker program, managed school based health and refugee clinics. Mary currently coordinates the mental health coalition for Lancaster County and facilitates training and development for the Trauma Informed Lancaster County initiative. She has published, developed and implemented mind, body, spirit programs throughout the LG Health system. Mary has served many volunteer roles within in the community.She is a HeartMath® Certified Trainer for the Resilience Advantage program and previously adjunct faculty at Temple University.
