Positive Action promotes social-emotional and character skills, resulting in healthy childhood development. The program is based on the philosophy that we feel good about ourselves when we do positive actions. Its Thoughts-Actions-Feelings Circle illustrates how this works in life: our thoughts lead to actions and those actions lead to feelings about ourselves which in turn lead to more thoughts. This is listed as an Evidence Based program.

Problem Areas Addressed:

  • bullying and appropriate behavior toward peers and others, substance use and peer pressure to engage in risky behaviors, physical, mental and family health

 Skills Built:

  • self-concept, managing self responsibly, treating others well, truth-telling to self and others, and ongoing self improvement

 Age/Grade Level: 4th and 5th Grade
