This educational program by Joel Jakubowski, Cert-Min, MA, CRS, CIP, CADC, will provide an overview of the drug problem in our country. It is also designed to help individuals/families (especially those dealing with addicted loved ones) to more clearly understand the nature of addiction, its effect on the addicted, and its effect on the family and friends of the addicted.
- Provides information on how to recognize common unhealthy response patterns to the addicted loved one and tools and resources for healthy responses.
- Provides an understanding of what motivates addicted loved ones, who are resistant to change, to enter treatment.
- Provides individuals with best practices and resources for dealing with an addicted individual.
Event is FREE, but registration is required through Penn State’s Pullo Center website.
