I’ve been
involved with Compass Mark since 1987, including completing 11 fundraising “Nightmare Tour” 178-mile rides around the perimeter of Lancaster County. Now that I have recently retired from my full-time position at Millersville University, I have decided to complete a cross country ride - over 3,200 miles - on the historic Lincoln Highway to benefit Compass Mark’s Future Generations program and would appreciate your support. We are calling the ride “Miles for Mentors.”
This is an amazing feeling! This afternoon, I dipped my bicycle wheel in the Pacific Ocean in Astoria, Oregon, on the Pacific coast--3,286.95 miles from Atlantic City, NJ, where I began this transcontinental odyssey in November as a birthday present for myself and as the kick-off for my benefit ride for Compass Mark!!
I encourage you to donate on this website, on a special Miles for Mentors Facebook Page where you can see my itinerary and where I have updated you on my progress, or by mailing a check to Compass Mark.
Thank you for your support of this extremely worthy cause.
