A true story about a mother's alcoholism and how it affected her childrens' lives. This story was written with the help and feelings of my daughter, who was ten years of age when my alcoholism began. Alcoholism is a treatable disease, but as you will see in this true story, the mother loses custody of her children before she begins her recovery from alcoholism. It is my hope that this book will be a useful adjunct in treatment for children of alcoholics. More than anything else I hope and pray that alcoholics, their spouse, and their children will seek treatment before custody becomes an issue in an alcoholic home. I was thirty-one years of age when my alcoholism began. Alcoholism changed our home from a normal, healthy home to a lonely, frightening, and abnormal home.
